Killing the shadow thingy at Kos's corpse returns the orphan to his mother in the sea, and Kos breaks the curse as thanks, freeing the hunters in the nightmare and stopping more hunters from entering.Gehrman is found in the Hunter's Dream, in the area on the right with the previously closed gate. Maria was so disgusted by their actions that she threw her sword into the well and killed herself, only to become the host of the hunter's nightmare. The villagers prayed to Kos to curse Byrgenwerth and its hunters forever, and since Kos is sympathetic to humans, she obliged. The other scholars, including Gherman and Maria, went to the hamlet to study Kos and experimented on and violated the villagers. Rom, a student of Byrgenwerth discovered Kos's washed up corpse on the shore of the fishing hamlet and, because Kos is kind to humans, was granted eyes on the inside. I don't think the members of Byrgenwerth killed any great ones. The link between ACB and Ebrietas is that they are both found in the same area and a call beyond looks like a version of Ebrietas's space lasers. According to the description of A Call Beyond, they failed, but were instead able to create a powerful weapon.
