Check the fit of the prepared Skins on the hoof.This allows the glue to penetrate the area and form a plug Place a piece of masking tape over the vents on the outside of the Skins.Once the methylated spirits has dried, the hoof is ready for gluing.
Clean off any loose particles from the hoof with a rag and methylated spirits.Use a sanding block to sand off any remaining dirt or oil.Use the back of a rasp to rasp off any oil or dirt off the hoof wall.
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to dry the hoof.Cut a piece of cloth tape and stick it across the slots on both sides and the opening at the front on the outside of the Skins.
